Hi friend, I’m Karly Alane (learn more about me here)! Whether you came from my Instagram, Tiktok, or maybe you were just looking into cleaner swaps…I am happy to have you here! I started learning about the toxins in my everyday products in 2019. I thought…”there have to be better options for a blush or cleaning product that won’t mess with my hormones..right?!” And although there were better options, I couldn’t find a resource online that made it simple (I am def not a scientist), affordable and still kept up with the fun trending products but just a non-toxic version. Sooo…I created that space online for myself because I knew I couldn’t be the only one looking for this.
There are a few things I think are important for you to know about my outlook on non-toxic living…
1. It doesn’t have to be so serious. If it is ever stressing you out to swap a product in your home, I want you to take a step back and remind yourself that you are doing the best you can and it’s not worth losing sleep over. My presence online is not to stress you out but more so to help you make easy swaps for your everyday products. We aren’t striving for perfection over here, we are striving for a healthy 80/20 balance. 80% of the time we are choosing non-toxic, clean options for ourselves and our family and 20% we are living our life and not stressing about it. Some of my 20%…monthly gel manicures, the occasional red 40 (especially when my period comes), and polyester leggings for working out (because the 100% cotton ones suck for working out…lets me honest)
When I go to make a swap I tell myself…
“if there is a better option, always choose the better option. If there isn’t a better option…I’m not stressing about it.”
2. I have a free downloadable list of Ingredients to Avoid in your everyday products. Once you have it downloaded, save it to your “favorites” photo album on your phone so that you can easily reference it when you are shopping for non-toxic products.
3. My main goal for my presence online is to continue to make a non-toxic home attainable, affordable, and realistic without the pressure or need to stress about it! If you are ever looking for a swap to a product, here is where you can find them:
